February 2008

It is amazing how the daylight hours keep getting longer -- a gain of five, six, maybe even seven minutes a day. Although the sun is encouraging, the temperatures are still down below zero. We are looking forward to when warmer weather will arrive.

Again, we want to thank all of you who are so faithful in keeping this ministry going. Now that our broadcasting is in so many different villages, it takes a lot of time and effort to keep all those satellite downlinks on air; especially with only a few key people in these endeavors.

We desperately need you dear folks to continue praying for more workers. Our station in Bethel could use a pilot and a couple of announcers. Also, there is a great need for announcers in Big Lake/Houston, as well as announcers and office personnel here in Nenana. Finally, we need prayer for assistance in general project planning and maintenance. The more work the Lord bestows upon us, the more opportunity we have to trust him to provide the staff we need.
I know there may be many of you out there who are retired of whom God may be working on to come and serve for a couple years. Would you be willing to lay aside the golf clubs and shuffle board and share your lives with those here in the wilderness? There will always be hardships when working for the Lord, but it is those things that strengthen and shape us in Christ. Will you be willing to spend time to pray and think about this opportunity?

With God’s grace we are going into areas where no one has been able to go before. We wish you could be here with us to hear some of the positive feedback. Thank you all so much for your faithfulness to our work as we continue to get the Gospel out there.

God’s blessings to you,
Robert C. Eldridge
